Building Courses

Building courses has never been easier. Once an Author has created and published a public unit, it is accessible by Training Organisations who will review the course material and pricing prior to selection to be included within "their" course. This allows them to choose units from multiple Authors or they can Author a Unit and include to further contextualise the course content to reflect their specific value proposition or client need.

To create a Unit, Pages are initially created with the Author being able to upload content in a range of formats including text, PDF, images, audio, flash and video. These Pages can then be linked together to create an Element. Several elements usually make up a unit.

Content editing is done through a Microsoft Word like editor which is simple and intuitive so only minimal training is required. Unit creation is fast and efficient so Authors can convert existing learning material into multimedia Online Learning Resources in just a few hours - rather than days or weeks as was the case in the past.

Learning Resource Library

The Learning Resource Library will fast track your course creation. When creating a Course our Members can select units from the extensive Webducate Learning Resource Library.  A Course can consist of a single unit of competency or can include multiple Units depending on the qualification packaging rules or preference of the Training Organisation.  You can also create units which can contextualise the course and combine them with the selected resources. Training Providers can select all the units from one Author or compile a selection from several different Authors.

Customise Courses

Courses can be cloned, modified and republished in a matter of minutes to allow our Members to customise electives to clients needs while simulaneously managing their version control processes. Community Units created by Silver Plan Members are able to be modified and reused by any Training Provider. The goal of Webducate is to allow Members to share resources that are being continally improved to enhance the learners experience.

Save On Resource Costs

As a general rule online resources are cheaper than print resources due to the fact that book production incurs a physical print cost in addition to editing and updating costs. Online resources once they have been initially created incur only minimal edit and version update costs. Our Members can typically save 20% - 40% on their annual resource costs plus save on storage rooms and purchasing resources for textbooks.

Assign Trainers to Manage Assessments

Before publishing a Course the Training Organisation can assign a Trainer to an entire Course, an individual units or for individual Students.  Submitted assessments are automatically allocated to the assigned Trainers which can be accessed from their assessment "in tray".  The Student, their Trainer and the Training Organisation can review progress, assessment marking times and results in real time which are recorded in Webducate for future reference.

Personalise & Brand Your Course

Brand your course as your own. Once you have built your course using Units authored by any number of Developers, and/or integrated your own self created content, the course is delivered through your own branded company portal.  Your administrator, trainer and students portals are fully branded to include your business logo, theme colours and a banners advertisment.

Templated Course Builder

The Webducate authoring tool allows you to simply create a course using your own learning resources or collate units from various developers within the unit library.

Reference Material

Your can include reference material within your courses by linking to external websites, creating a glossary or enabling students to download PDF or Word files.

Online Surveys

After a student has completed a course, the training provider has the option to include a learner questionaire to obtain feedback.

Blended Learning

Webducate is the perfect vehicle for training providers to combine the best of traditional training with the effectiveness and flexibility of online learning. 

Online Workshops

Members have the ability to use the "GoTo Meeting" remote access solution to facilitate online group workshops with steamed video and audio.
